Right - it's very fair to question why Dusty didn't argue, but it's even more fair to question why Umpires are not doing their jobs. They are the enforcers of the rules. That is one you shouldn't have to do anything for.

I'm gong to be curious to hear the umpire explanation or if the booth was wrong in their count.

I'm trying to envision Billy Martin or Earl Weaver in that situation. Hell, Tommy Lasorda. They would have gone bat **** crazy.

Can't even get to .500 at home. Take care of biz tomorrow, and then I'm actually glad we have a long road trip afterwards.

Lopez (first base coach) was yelling with 10 seconds left on clock because pitcher stepped off rubber with no one on base. He got back on rubber and then stepped off again.

You can see during a cut away he was demonstrating the step off to first base umpire.

Total BS that Dusty sat on his hands. We need a game manager capable of leading for all 173 games. Dusty can't stay awake past 6th inning which is probably why we score our runs starting in 7th every night.

Dusty knew he was about to get 100 questions about why Diaz isn't behind the dish more since he is 6-0 in starts and just hosed 2 runners and went 2 for 3 at the plate.

Dusty was happy for the controversial ending deflecting questions about Diaz.

If you feel like taking a positive from the game, Diaz gunned down two runners and had 2/3rd of our hits. He was the only player with a pulse tonight….

Of course, we won't see him again for another week…..

One loss won't overshadow what is becoming very evident which is the Astros very likely have their Catcher of the future in Diaz. The "open air" window in Houston won't be shutting as long as prospects like him keep coming up through the system and producing, much to Manfred's chagrin.

Still blows my mind that Bregman hit 41 homeruns in 2019.

In 318 games since then, he has hit 44 home runs
