The histrionics over every little decision he makes is amusing. Dusty thinks much more long term then most of you. He also proves every year in the playoffs that he knows how to operate perfectly well in "win now at all costs" mode.

Not playing Diaz in the DH role can bite Dusty in the ass. Thinking about all the Money Ball gifs, if Dusty doesn't play the players that Brown has assembled for him will not get him a contract extension. Isn't Dusty on signed for this year?

If this goes on all year, he's not doing himself any favors.

Look, I personally agree Yainer should more playing time. That can be true at the same time as "the over the top Dusty bashing is absurd" is true.

I can tell you from experience that a disc issue in the neck will cause issues in the arm and hand. Mine has been over 3 years and I still have some effects.

Was only going off the tweet. Didn't originally read it as speculation though it is a resonable assumption especially if you link it with his hand issues last year.

Added: As n_touch posted above - and from personal experience - hand issues can arise from nerve issues in the neck.

This issue actually makes AustinCountyAgs point.

There are one of 4 ways Diaz gets more ABs:

1) Dusty plays him
2) Maldy gets hurt
3) Maldy gets traded
4) Brown forces Dusty to play Diaz.

#2 can happen. #3 isn't happening anytime soon. #4 would be a disaster.

So, that leaves us with #1, and the only person that could possibly know if Diaz is getting more playing time is Dusty himself.

Austin could have said it with more tact, but he's right. No source can reach in Dusty's brain. Unless Dusty had told the source himself, the only thing a source could speak to is really #3 and #4, and neither of those were hinted at. I don't think AustinCountyAg was trying to be a jerk.

An inside source is awesome, and I say keep it coming!
