So here's where Mauricio "Big Irish" Dubon is on the all-time franchise chart now. Breathe it in. Witness the greatness.
Most consecutive games with a hit
30: Willy Taveras, 2006

24: Tony Eusebio, 2000
23: Art Howe, 1981
23: Luis Gonzalez, 1997
23: Moises Alou, 2001
23: Hunter Pence, 2011
22: Cesar Cedeno, 1977
21: Lee May, 1973
21: Dickie Thon, 1982
21: Lance Berkman, 2001
21: MIguel Tejada, 2009
20: Rusty Staub, 1967

19: Mauricio Dubon, 2023
19: Bob Watson, 1973
19: Cesar Cedeno, 1976

Berkman's wasn't the longest, but might be the most impressive (TWSS). He hit .482 (41 for 85) with 9 homers, a triple, and 10 doubles during his streak for a .941 slugging %.

No Bagwell, no Biggio, no Altuve, no Correa, no Springer - that's nuts.Marvin said:The Porkchop Express said:

I might have guessed Alou and Pence in the top 10. Wow.

Here is my take on the roster construction. We have 4 guys on the IL. Assuming no trades and no new injuries.
Salazar - Diaz will be the full time back up and catch every 5th day. No DH, 1B, or LF. Not much of a change.
Bannon - has he even played yet?
Julks - may be controversial, but if Dusty won't play him other positions then he isn't worth a roster spot.
Martinez - it's either him or Blanco and I think we like Blanco as a multi inning guy. That's going to be critical if one of the 6 man rotation falters.
Taveras. He only got 664 career hits.Harry Dunne said:obviously I hope so.The Porkchop Express said:YesHarry Dunne said:

Maybe Eusebio. But I'd probably bet against if you said anyone else.

I think you're right about Julks, as much as I don't like it. But I think Martinez over Blanco. Feel like Blanco gives up runs every time he's in.
