Let's assume the fictional movie is correct. A successful team needs that mind of leadership.
How do you know what each player brings to the table? Unless you're in the locker room, dugout, on the field, etc you (we) don't know **** about that part of the game besides very small snippets here and there.
Interviews
Press conferences
Podcasts
The observations of the people who cover the Astros for a living
What I can see with my own eyes when watching a game live on on TV.
It all adds up into an opinion.
I am fully aware Justin Verlander left voluntarily and is currently injured, but I always felt last year he was a tremendous presence in the dugout through both highs and lows, and while Hunter Brown has posted similar #s, the Astros didn't replace his intangibles.
I know you're taking the rest of the day. But how many interviews, press conferences, podcasts, etc have you seen on Hunter Brown? Enough to get a sense of who he is and what he brings?
Does Framber feel more comfortable to be himself with or without JV around leading? Same of Javier? Did JV rub anyone the wrong way and affect them negatively? I don't expect you to know any of this. I sure don't. It's because we don't know **** about the real dynamics besides small curated piece that gets shared with us.
