Was just down there on Sunday, I liked how it looks (older ones are to the left but didn't take a picture of them)

That being said I feel this isn't the main place people walk in the stadium so displaying them at the home plate entrance might have been better

one small silver lining from Altuve's injury...

it's puts some positive pressure on the extension guys -- Bregman and Tucker -- to come out swinging in April.

can't wait until May or June to get hot. Astros need them to start strong -- like .900 OPS month-of-April strong

So Diaz is on the opening day roster. Nice!!!

I guess two corresponding 40 man roster moves will have to be made for Julks and Salazar. Altuve to 60 day seems like the obvious one. Wonder what the other one is?

I've legit never heard of Salazar

My guess is that they optioned Lee to get him more ABs in Sugar Land.

I kinda like the idea of Dirden and Lee getting everyday reps at AAA instead of mostly riding the pine in the bigs.

With Dirden, if we were committed to starting him in LF until Brantley returns, I'd be totally cool with that. But given that we seem intent on giving Meyers a full time look and Yanier should get some LF playing time to get his bat in the lineup, not sure how many times Dirden would be in the lineup anyway.

Same with Lee. I think Diaz will get most of the Maldy backup duties for the first month or two. Given that he'll be playing other positions occasionally, carrying a third catcher is probably prudent. Not sure it would be the best use of resources for Lee to sit in the dugout most of the time though.

With all that said, I'm interested to see what Salazar and Julks can do, even if their playing time is limited and sporadic. They both had nice springs.

Really interested to see what Julks does. My feel is that he'll do as well, or probably better than, Meyers.
