If you drew a straight line from the moment he hit the ball to the bag he ran it. The fielder threw the ball in the dirt well inside the field of play and he got rewarded.

It's a BS call.


But you're supposed to be on the outside part of the bag.

No. That's not what the rule says. It's 100% a judgement call if you are inside interfering with the throw or catch. And he didn't.
