I would be curious if a different perspective at catcher might help some of the bullpen guys turn it around. It might help to have different sequencing in pitches, and give the heavy percentage of games that Maldy has caught to this point in the season, it is certainly possible that their pitch sequencing has become more predictable. Unfortunately Dusty will never let Diaz catch on any consistent basis to prove that he is worthy of handling pitchers so this is likely something will never find out.
