That's not bad pitching, I gotta remind myself to get out of playoff mindset haha eventually things average out and hits like breggy's end up in the gap and hits like a couple of the tigers end up as outs, and it's not do or die!

Way, way too early stat: Astros started play tonight 26th in slugging. Tough to sequence enough singles together for runs with the bottom of this order, not to mention Bregman's slow start.

If I remember correctly, the Astros 11-11 start last year included the offense cranking out a team batting average of around .200. They were 28th to dead last in the MLB for a good stretch. Slow starts and easing the vets into the season had to be part of that. Looks like more of the same here. The good news is that we have the pitching to keep games close until the bats start clicking like we know they should.

Machete makes the throw but I have to say Peña makes a great catch and tag. He's way better at that than Correa was. He's really patient waiting on the throw and let's the ball do the work.
