+1 on Joc, but he has to be platooned.

128 vs RHP
73 vs LHP

Look how the Giants handle him.



His best seasons are the ones with the fewest ABs vs LHP.



The Cubs tried to make him an everyday player in 21 and it didn't work.

You can explain Altuve and a little bit Chas due to injuries. But the OF mix, catching mix, DH mix have been failures.

DH Diaz (and rotate to C) and play Chas in LF and rotate to RF for letting Tucker have a day off. Let Dubon get rotational spots in CF, LF, 2B, SS 4 days out of 5 or 6. Everyone rests rotationally and you never trot out what that toothpick chewing Lizard did yesterday. Heck he can still play Julks 3 games a week in there just to mess around.

This isn't rocket science.

Avoid resting Altuve, Pena, Bregman, Tucker & Yordan on the same day.

Tucker's rest days come vs LHP. Meyers, McCormick, & Pena's rest days come vs RHP.

Bat your best guys are the top. Stop this old-school lineup mentality.

Just took a gander at the Rangers board (I know..mistake..but I'm killing time waiting for 5pm) and went back a few pages and saw them making fun of me for being a wannabe insider. I died laughing. They really are obsessed.

Also just a quick update on Kenni Gomez.. my favorite prospect in the system. Super small sample but it's fun to check in on him. He's off to a nice start on the year in the FCL. 5 for 13 with a homer and 4 RBI to go with a couple steals.

Bellinger is currently hitting 3 points better than Tucker, has one less home run and a higher ops. Roughly 90 fewer at bats.

Tucker needs to be better or I'm not to worried about him leaving in 2 years.

Definitely, platoon Joc. Play him against righties, and Chas against lefties. Have him fill in at 1B occasionally.

Why is Salazar on the roster instead of Lee ? Maybe they don't want to expose a trade piece at the big league level?

I seem to remember when someone ( me ) proposed trading Tucker to the Jays for Gurriel way back early this past offseason before he was sent to Arizona. Hmmmm, sure caught some flack back then.
