Sucks to lose a game in which you hit a grand slam and have a lead in the 9th

Yup. Sometimes it happens. Even the best bullpen guys give up runs here and there. Just gotta hope they aren't crucial runs. Unfortunately today they were crucial runs.

His stuff plays. He's going to have growing pains but I think he can stick as a 4.
Bielak is not going to be great, but you don't need your 5 to be great. McCullers, Urquidy, & Blanco are still potential options down t be road too.
▪️joey loperfido looks to have passed the double-A test. he’s mashing at the plate while drawing a lot of walks and not striking out much — all while playing multiple positions. he is old for the level (24) but he seems to be legit. fun fact: he’s hit 6 pop-ups in 3 years.

▪️zach dezenzo was an analytics darling in last year’s draft and was somehow signed for pennies. he’s the big pop-up name in the system this year and rightfully so — it’s easy plus power to go with what looks like a competent hit tool. i’m bullish on him.

▪️alimber santa has had a good bit of helium recently. he’s actually pitching this year but has not fared well in low-A. it’s too early to have any substantial concerns but at this rate he’ll have to repeat the level next year at age 21, which isn’t bad, but it’s also not ideal.

Some folks on here upset about our two best relievers blowing the game today but it happens during the course of a long season. Altuve hit a grand slam against a Twins reliever who hadn't given up a single earned run all year (15 games).
I think it's time to just accept that Lance likely won't ever be a full time starter for us. He's only pitched one "fully" healthy season + postseason since his 2015 debut.
I think it's time to accept Lance won't pitch this season and Dana needs to think now about finding someone now. It doesn't need to be JV level but a solid #3 would be helpful.

Pressly and Abreu are human, but they're 1a & 1b and probably too 5-15 arms in any given year.

The wild thing about this pitch is he doesn't look like he's giving it everything he has and it's still 102. He's standing pretty upright after his follow through.
