That's fine. He knows Yordan's numbers against Nate and should know Nate would try to go after him. He should have been sitting FB 3-0 and been willing to pull the trigger. He didn't.

Eovaldi has been very wild tonight. Nothing wrong with making him throw strikes to avoid Yordan. Shouldn't have missed the cutter.


Except AB has an exceptional strike zone and pitch recognition. There is no reason to make him throw another pitch when it's a FB right down the hear of th plate.

Anyway, it's passed.
