Still got faith in Neris ... bad outing but he gonna come up big for us this postseason

Game 1 in the best of 5 is unbelievably important ... basically puts the Twins in must win mode out the gate

I've been busy all day and just now checked the box score. I was pumped, Victory!

Gotta admit I was a bit shocked to see that there was anything negative going on here. We're the Champs! It's all just extra gravy at this point, enjoy the ride cause we might just win the hole damn thing again.

I'm curious what the Astors record is when Altuve hits a lead-off HR?

Baseball refernce shows he has hit 34. I'm not sure if that includes today's lead-off HR.

Today's HR is his 8th "first inning" post season HR, which is the most all-time. (Per KHOU).

Regular season stats and postseason stats are usually complied separately. I think the broadcast crew stated it was his first postseason leadoff HR, but was juggling several games at the time so I might have misheard.

Yordan is special. The Trout, Ohtani, Judge, Acuna, & Betts conversation and hype needs to include 44. And he's only 26 with 5 more years of control. He's got a chance to go down at the Astros goat.

I know 2023 was rough but postseason Altuve is a thing. He's got his sights set on Manny's HR record.

Verlander still has it. The old ****er just deals. You love to see it.

Overall, solid defense and nice contributions for Tucker, Abreu, McCormick, Brantley, & Pena.

All I have to say is winning Game 1 of 5 at home is better than losing it. Sucks to be Bmore and Atlanta. They are officially behind the 8 ball.

Of course they don't have the greatest postseason player of all time to donkey punch an opponent on the first pitch.

LA pitching is a shambles. They are going to throw combinations of openers, tandem starts and just plain bull pen games. D Backs absolutely have a chance. This series may be about who scores last.
