I have seen Astros from Dierker and Cesar C, all the way to now.

I have never seen anyone have more fun and get more out of their body than Jose Altuve.

Cedeno was a freak. If he played today he would be putting up Acuna numbers. 35/70 stuff. With modern bats and stadiums he would be doing that. He was that good before the ankle break.

JRR was Randy Johnson before Randy Johnson. Don Wilson was stupidly good and what could have been if he had not passed away.

But what Altuve is doing and how he is doing it just boggles the mind. He's going to be on the Mt Rushmore for 2B in baseball history.

It's wild how he, after talking to someone while back in Venezuela (I can't remember who), realized he could add a leg lift and be able to hit for power. To go from slapping the ball around to driving it all over the park 3-4 years after joining the big leagues.

He's a special talent.

As many have pointed out, it's not just crappy for Diaz but it would provide the organization an extra draft pick, something Dana certainly knows how to use based on his track record.

I said this a couple of days ago. Thats a big deal. Being ROY gives the team a compensation pick and it gives the player service time to get to arbitration faster.
