I get what you're saying, but I just highly doubt that any of the guys looked at that lineup card and felt like they were handicapped. Maldy is bad. They all know it. But one guy at the bottom of the lineup with the rest of the lineup being as good as it can be AND a guy like Littell on the mound…0 runs with only 5 hits is a joke.
Abreu makes that play in the 1st inning and this is probably a 2-0 game right now. Bielak is doing exactly what Bielak does the majority of the time. He's going to give up hits and walk a few, so you HAVE to play great defense behind him. The same exact thing happened to him in his last start.
