I don't care for Dusty but I am not sure there is much he could have done tonight to fix things besides start the best players (Diaz over Maldy).

Tell me what in the hell Dusty was to do with that tonight. All of the reliable guys completely screwed up. If you can't trust Framber, Abreu, and Pressly to protect 6 and 3 run lead respectively, what the hell can you do?

I can understand losing a game to the Angels, just going 2/3 this weekend was the goal.

But you can't lose a game that you led 9-3 in the 7th, and then 12-9 in the 9th.

All 3 bullpen guys (Maton not included) absolutely sucked so bad that you can't even blame Dusty for this one.

Agree. Dusty should be fired anyway because he's just terrible and has already cost this team multiple games this year. But this one was just the guys on the field failing at every single thing they needed to do to protect not one, but two 3+ run leads. Total team loss.

Let me take a crack at this:

- not bring Framber back out for the 7th while being up 6 runs and him coming off an injury
- not pulling Framber after the 2-run homer, allowing him to of course get re-injured 2 pitches later
- never once giving the ump an earful for missing 6 game-altering calls
- not having Maton or anyone else ready to move when it was obvious Pressly didn't have it tonight and was well over his season-high in pitches
- not walking Renfroe in the 9th in what was an OBVIOUS intentional walk situation and ended up costing us the game

He cramped up during his AB. Nothing Dusty could have done to prevent it.

What is he supposed to do? Despite what you read on this forum, the farm is trash. There are no difference makers within two years of contributing. Anybody with a pulse has been given a shot.
