5-8 weeks would suck, but the goal is to be healthy in September.
I'd say missing Altuve, Brantley, McCullers and possibly Yordan to start the season would qualify as a big suck.
On the bright side they'll be less worn down in Oct.
Maybe but we had a bye by 14 games last year.
Your lack of concern is noted.

Not lack of concern. But just not jumping off any bridges yet.
Venezuela manager Omar López, in Spanish, on José Altuve’s injury: “I’m super worried. I’m sad. I’m frustrated.”

Who is jumping? I said it would suck. I didn't say postseason hopes were over...

Bryce Harper. Out 61 days.
Harold Ramirez. Out 29 days.
Evan Longoria broke his thumb on October 3, and was out the final 3 games of the season.

Something similar happened to Astros great, [REDACTED], in ‘94. He was having an MVP season—his best of his Hall of Fame career. Known for his unique batting stance, he couldn’t bail quick enough and got hit. He ended up getting a surgery and then stealing the hand doctor’s wife.

Depending on the severity of Jose Altuve's hand, free agent Jurickson Profar is a name to watch.

He is better than Profar today
Salvador Pérez told ESPN that he was informed that José Altuve has a fracture. It is worth noting that the Astros said that they would release an official update on his right-hand injury tomorrow. #WorldBaseballClassic
