They really are. I've listened to a lot of these other broadcasts over the years, and it really isn't close.

Most of them are just plain awkward as well.

Agreed. Hearing the other folks on MLB Network makes me even more appreciative of our team.

I didn't think I'd get over losing Jimmy D. Blummer changed my mind in a big hurry. And TK is a chip off the old block.

I really loved the chemistry of Bill Brown and Jim Deshaies.

Unpopular opinion: Milo Hamilton was corny and annoying.

Wonderful. The long national nightmare is over.

Seriously this should have been a No brainer.

Will go through it again next year. Not sure why they are only doing 1 year deals.

That is not unpopular at all.

Is that an industry standard? I honestly don't know.

My guess it's a Crane thing. With the short deals, employees have to prove it year in and year out to stay with the club.

I know this is discussed every year, but is there a way I can watch ATTSN without having to resort to the "high seas?" I'm in Dallas and used to have AT&T, but where I live now I only have access to Spectrum.

I would be willing to pay for mlb.tv if I knew for sure it worked (plus I have a VPN), but I have heard mixed results.

Sailing worked for the first half of the season last year, but then all of the channels somehow got shut down... I just want to watch the Stros, damnit!

I've learned to invest very very little emotionally into Aggie football.

I've essentially become an average fan.

It's worked out just fine for me.

I think FuboTV gets AT&TSN, but I would check that it's not something that's restricted to the Houston area before you spend money on it. I'm on the east coast so I use MLB.tv. VPN isn't required for games unless the Astros are playing the Orioles or Nationals (blackout rules in this region are beyond dumb, can't even get the away team's network where I am). I will say that they are getting smarter at picking up location even in spite of VPN. If you use an android smartphone, it won't start the video feed unless you enable location services. iPads are hit and miss.

I used to use MLB.tv with Smart DNS or VPN, but it seems MLB is catching on. I was blacked out last year, and the year before. I'd gone with suspect streaming services for 21 and the beginning of 22, but they've both been shutdown.

Fubo TV is the only real option. I subscribe to YouTube TV from October to April, pause it, then subscribe to Fubo from April to October.

X 100. There's some exciting news as season ticket renewals for football go out. NOT

YTTV, SmartDNS and VPN here as well. VPN works about 80% of the time. No rhyme or reason as to why or when or how it doesn't and I've really tried to dig in... weirdly it seems to be the worst at the beginning of the season, like they "care" more then and become more lax over the season. Just anecdotal but that's my experience.

Thanks for the replies. I will do some more research into Fubo, but $60 a month for 6 months might be too rich for my blood.

Yall need to look into an IPTV provider.

May not be the most up and up thing but it's dirt cheap, reliable, and you get every baseball game from every team in the league.

I have DirecTV Stream, I've been pretty happy with it.

As far as IPTV, it sounds like a good deal (my bro pays $25-30/mo for a ton of channels), but we were over there for WS Game 5, and that thing was buffering like crazy.

My IPTV works alright but I have Fubo I use for day to day TV. The IPTV is only $11/month and is used for watching stuff not on Fubo.

For those looking at Fubo be aware they don't offer TBS so it's useless for playoffs.

I have Fubo and watched the Spanish broadcast on MLB Network. Loved it even though I remember next to nothing from my 2 years of Spanish in high school.

Got a new favorite word from that: ponche.

I enjoy watching the NL playoffs as well so for me Fubo is worthless every year when playoff time comes around.
