The fact that Dubon plays OF means he'll get priority in the OF over him.

Dubon isn't ideal, but he's a nice piece to have in the regular season. He can play anywhere at a high enough level and isn't completely useless at the plate.

SS, but he's played a bunch of 3rd and some 1st. It's been a few years but he's played a little OF too.

Don't kid yourself. He's pretty much completely useless.

83 games for us.

.208/.254/.294. A 55 wRC+. His fWAR was 0.1 but that's really exaggerated by a 6.2 defensive component.

He is what he is. A replacement player. His value is he's a complete utility level INF/OF replacement level player.

You say pretty much useless then mention his value.

He can be more serviceable if we play him vs LHP mostly. If we want to rest, Yordan, Brantley, etc make sure we're doing it cs LHP when they're at their worst and Dubon is at his best. 116 wRC+ off the bench would be perfect for a player making very little who's a plus defender.

This means Dusty has to be smart on the timing of rest. Good luck.

This will be comical. Someone has to bat 6th. It won't be Jose. It won't be Yordan. It won't be Bregman. It won't be Abreu. That leaves Tucker or Brantley. And if Dusty puts Peña in tne 2 hole one of those two bats 7th.

If he stays healthy he will top it. He was in the 4 hole about as much as the 3 hole last year. (70 vs 63 games). The Brantley injury triggered the move.

I would have no problem putting him in the 2 hole, but old school Dusty never will.

Agreed. I'd love to see him 2nd but obviously Dusty won't. Really don't want him lower than 3rd. He's our best player.

IMO 3-4-5 should be carved in stone w Yordan, Abreu, Tucker.

I'd give Bregman first crack at the 2 hole. Make Peña take it from him.
