Yeah, when I said "price", I meant more the combo of AAV and length. Maybe 3 years at 17.5, maybe 4 at something closer to 15, but I wouldn't have been happy with a 5 year contract at all.Farmer1906 said:

Guess I'm in the minority but I wouldn't have been upset with that Contreras deal.

I don't expect the Astros to roll with Lee or Diaz as a backup either. They don't see either one as ready. They're looking at cheaper veteran options to split time with Maldy

The Rangers have like 5 catchers. We can snag one of them. I don't think we'll have any trouble going out and getting a decent guy behind the dish. Grab a left-handed one and you can platoon with Madly.

With this new report on these goldilock balls and that yankees were the only team benefitting from these during the regular season, Id bet a pretty penny he was TOLD to sign with yankees again. Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue if padres paid $400 mil for judge and then found out judge had been hitting all those homeruns with goldilock balls? Lawsuits galore. Still may be a ton by sportsbooks and fantasy sport companys. No way they can regulate and claim fairness if one team is getting an advantage over other teams…. This is just the beginning of this
