We lost 2 out of our 3 losses because of defense.

I think that final call came from the replay booth and had nothing to do with the umps on the field. But I could be wrong.

you are correct...but on that play.... his job is to make sure the out is completed correctly.... then the runners slide..... apparently he was so wrong in his slide watching that replay felt the need to overturn him.... umps know this rule by now..... so this umps interpretation is so wrong that he really cant function on the field.

Guess an ump should be fired if he calls a ball a strike or if he calls a runner safe when the throw beat him by half a step.
