Neither Siri nor Chas is a long term answer in center, but Chas over Siri was absolutely the correct clubhouse move this season. That's something I never thought I'd say.

I'd take that out of a CF that plays a plus defense.

Yeah dusty wanted a backup catcher and a left handed reliever. He also said on the radio the day of the deadline he wanted a center fielder (I can't imagine that went over too well with the guys on the team). They got a good backup catcher in Vasquez. As far as the lefty, they were more trading away odorizzi than trading for Will Smith. They got somebody to quiet dusty and thankfully he was never asked to contribute in the postseason. I was convinced dusty was gonna trip over himself to use Will Smith in every game, and I'm happy he proved me wrong.

Crane would destroy a lot of the current Astros feel good in Houston and around the nation if he dumped Dusty now. Although, I think he wants Joe Espada. So, I think you bring Dusty back for one year and sign Espada to some elevated cash and publicly name him the Manager in waiting.

Yup. Shocked everyone when the national guys picked it up late Aug. lots of contracts are about to expire - Baker, Click, TK, Blum. Then there were rumors of Sal & Sterns (both former Lunhow guys in Baltimore & Milwaukee) being potential confidantes.
