Agreed and Exactly why I wound cut him from roster completely pull up 3rd catcher and DH Vasquez

Hopefully Yuli is fine and this is all academic

There is catching and then there's catching in the World Series. Sorry for not clarifying.


I get what you mean but before this series Hensley had never hit in a WS, Mancini had never hit in one, he had never played first in one, Chaz never had played CF and Peña had never as well.

Firsts are made to be ended and if Yuli can't go the best answer is bringing up a third catcher to be used in emergencies

That sucks.

So would you play Diaz or Mancini at first? I'd lean towards Mancini just because I think his play in game 5 might spark his bat. He's actually hit a few balls in the postseason on the road that would have gone out at MMP.

I think having Vazquez at DH could be a really good thing.

Click is on MLB network right now, no comment on availability, says it's a right knee sprain, still evaluating. Says possibilities for subs are Yanier, Korey Lee, JJ, or Jake Meyers.

100% agree. One inning from him on a typical bullpen day is WAAAY less valuable that maybe 4-5 in an elimination game.

I think Dusty has a presser in about 20 minutes. If he's removed from the roster, then that has to be done well before the game (all kinds of MLB stuff to go through to do that). They could keep him around and remove him tomorrow, but I think if he's coming off, it's happening today and probably in the next hour.

Astros 1B Yuli Gurriel, who injured his knee in Game 5, has been taken off the roster for Game 6. The Astros have replaced him with a third catcher, Korey Lee. That will allow them to DH Christian Vzquez. Gurriel would be out for the rest of the World Series.

Looks like they're leaning Vasquez…. But at that point, just start him since we're losing offense.

Damn. That one really hurts. Yuli was on fire in the post season. Puts even more pressure on Altuve and Yordan to deliver.

He's an ok singles hitter with a piano on his back when he runs.
