Yes he's a great GM but it's evident that he was not good at running an organization and being a leader. His workplace was borderline toxic and he was still deflecting and avoiding responsibility when he left. He handled the fallout extremely poorly.

IIRC didn't he file suit against the Astros after being let go? Eventually settled or dropped it but I'm pretty sure he filed it.

They should have sued Manfred and MLB.

I don't mind the rain out all that much or the delayed start. One way or the other, the season will be over in a few more days. I want us to win a title, but I'll be sad when the season ends because 6+ months of baseball every day is the best part of the year. The Texans are an intentional tire fire, our alma mater is .... really something, and the other night I watched the Rockets for a few minutes, and then realized I was so out of touch with them that I was rooting for the Hawks (damn red jerseys).

Having not rooted for a real title winner until the Rockets in 94-95, I never knew that real joy of watching a truly great team play day in, day out. Winning another title would be marvelous, but watching a great team perform at a high level day after day, and watching younger guys evolve into key pieces is the best fun of it all.
