I was very confident against the Ms and the Yanks, but have been burned twice now by NL East teams

you think JV loses both games?
His WS record is not good. In fact, his playoff record as a whole has not been good. Aside from that ALCS in 2017 its not been very memorable.Harry Stone said:Farmer1906 said:

He pitched decent in 2017 in the world series. Pretty sure it was 3 earned both starts. He just didn't get anything more than 1 run of support in either start. In 2019, he was bad, but I kinda wonder whether he was already dealing with arm problems at that point.Mathguy64 said:His WS record is not good. Whelp....they wanted Houston....to have another round of Fall-like
temperatures and so did we! We're gonna get em too as we pick things
up on Wednesday morning with temperatures in the upper 40s/low 50s
as you walk out the door. We'll be buried in the H...high pressure
that is...as it continues its stronghold over the Central and
Southern Plains and provides a steady stream of cooler and drier
air. Even though there'll be plentiful sunshine on Wednesday, with
850mb temperatures ranging from 10-12C, there won't be much in the
way of warming as high temperatures top out in the upper 70s. High
pressure sweeps out of the area late Wednesday with onshore flow
returning by Thursday as moisture goes on a steep launch angle going
towards the end of the work week.
Listen. Citizens Bank Park is sold out. We’re playing the Astros. This stadium, that staff, they’re not used to a full house. They can’t kick us all out. All I’m saying is, make the Astros miserable. Be ruthless. Push the limit. No one’s gonna stop you. Let ‘em know.

lol at the idiots spending that much money on tickets and only worried about trying to intimidate the Astros. They have visited 22 parks since then, won 2 ALCS, and are going to their 2nd WS and you think you will now magically rattle them....EastCoastAgNc said:Listen. Citizens Bank Park is sold out. This meme delivers again
There was no depth really and a dramatic fall off after the top 3. Then when you look back at the series, we screwed up using JV on short rest. He pitched one good game after that against NY as usual and then allowed 11 runs the next 3 games. He also pitched 4 games prior to the

The situation we are going into this year has never been so well set. And with Phili winning as well yesterday they will be just as rusty.

They do if it's not an error. If the ball is overran or if there's a bad angle taken, I would say that counts as a miscue and would certainly be a triple.
I agree--very cool unis. However, I'm not fond of the result the last time these two matched up in postseason wearing them.EastCoastAgNc said:MLB Should 100% Let The Phillies And Astros Rock Their Awesome Throwbacks In The World Series https://t.co/I6nE3g1Pf4 pic.twitter.com/4p5fNA5426

Adding to this. Philly is top 5 in swinging at pitches outside the zone and middle of the pack swing and miss. Both are much worse than us. While not a glaring weakness, they should be more susceptible to the breaking ball out of the zone.Farmer1906 said:That settles it. Sliders and Curves for days.Farmer1906 said:

huh? so a batter should be awarded a hit if 2B goes Knoblauch and can't reach first? not following you on "errors are dumb"Farmer1906 said:Another example of why errors are dumb.texasaggie2015 said:

The official scorer can rule the play didn't take a routine effort and it would not be an error. I do agree that the official scorer can definitely make some questionable decisions at times.Quote:
Player A takes a good route, has a good jump, but it hits off the glove. Player A is penalized with an error.
