Fangraphs playoff odds have the WS at 54-46. Basically a coin flip and the edge to home field. Interesting.

I said early in the year. The stanks would win the regular season bust as usual the Astros would win the postseason. I amended that in late June predicting the Astros would catch the stanks by the 2nd week of August. 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

We have this year's talking point...

I want to see Yuli, every time the inning ends with the ball in his glove, run by the mound and spike the ball. It won't bounce like the old concrete and carpet did but it will warm my heart none the less.

In the expanded playoffs, only the '99 Jankees and '05 White Sox have gone 11-1 in the postseason (both losses came in the Cas)

I think this sweep could result in the dismantling of the this Yankees team.

Not sure about how much clout Cashman has but he could be gone as well.
I don't think they resign Judge. I think he walks not because they don't pursue him but I think he decides he wants to play elsewhere.

This series showed everyone in the organization they're not as close as they thought and they have quite a few holes that need to be addressed.

Either way they've got a lot of holes to fill in all aspects offense, starters and BP.

Swept the Phillies 3-0 in the LCS, swept the Yankees 4-0 in the WC.
Had 5 regulars bat at least .306 on the season (Morgan, Rose, Foster, Geronimo, Griffey) and 3 future Hall of Famers (Morgan, Perez, Bench).

Trailed in all 3 games of the LCS. In the third game were down 3-0 after 6-1/2, 5-4 after 7-1/2, and 6-4 going to the bottom of the ninth. Tied it on back to back jacks by Foster and Bench and won it on a walk-off single by Griffey.

Never trailed the Yankees in the WS until the fourth game (sound familiar) when New York got a 1 run in the bottom of the first. Reds scored 3 in the top of the 4th and cruised to a 7-2 win in Nueva York.
