But good teams pick each other up and that's what happened. Point being...Even a loss wouldn't have been the fault of Dusty.

With that logic, it's never the manager's fault and always the players. Which is fair. Technically, the manager doesn't play, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be criticized and praised when he makes good and bad moves.

I could've been anyone of them. I jumped up screaming and yelling, wife threw a couch pillow at me for waking up the baby, older kids came downstairs in a panic because they thought the house was on fire. It was awesome.
Castillo did pitch 7 scoreless at Toronto in the wildcard round, however in 2 of his last 3 regular reason starts he gave up 4 or more ER to the Royals and A's.

Framber gave up 3 ERs to Seattle in each of his two starts against them this season (one home, one away).

A few thoughts while looking at his #s.
This is a really strange mix. A few years ago his changeup was his best pitch and his 4 seamer was very hittable. Now his 4 seamer has been dominant this year. Its spin is as high as ever. He saw a huge jump last year. He also saw a huge jump from '18 to '20 on his slider spin. Kind of the opposite of the rest of the league.
I know we talked about LMJ H/R splits, but Castillo might have some road woes. Across the board, he's been worse on the road. K% down, BB% up, WHIP up, BABIP up, FIP up, xFIP up, Hard% Up, etc. It's not only true for this year but his career #s too.
Castillo is a workhorse. He's topped 100 in 13 out of 25 games this year with a max of 123. he averaged ~100 pitches per game. But he only averaged a hair over 6 IP per start so he's not the most efficient guy around. I hope we can work counts and wear him down.
