At this point Nalor is the underrated superstar.

Is he though? Seems like everyone says that about him. He's getting recognization from league. He's regularly near the top of MVP votes.

I eagerly await the complaints about how this isn't like the regular season, how this has destroyed pitching staffs and how we should be using the Manfred Man in the playoffs.

True, but I still think it doesn't rise to the level of the actual value he provides. Especially signing a hometown discount extension to help them build around him instead of going full Correa.
Eff that. If you can't manager your pen for a game like this every once in a while, you don't deserve to do well in the postseason.Mathguy64 said:

I could live with the Manfred man in the regular season if they played a couple of the extra innings the old fashion way then go ahead put the runner on second.AggieJ2002 said:Mathguy64 said:

For the record, I love the way they do it. Manfred man in regular season is perfect and makes regular season EI games more interesting and keeps a random Wed night game from going into the 14th 0-0.
For the playoffs, I'll take a game like this any day.
Like I said, manage your pen better.McInnis said:
You give some really good examples jkag, but they're all from the old days where starting pitchers would actually pitch 7 innings in a game or 200 innings in a season. And superstar pitchers didn't complain about fatigue when playoffs started.

Jays take an early 2-0 lead on a dinger by Teoscar!
The longer the better. Also none of this low scoring stuff, lots of runs as well as lots of extra innings. You know something like the '05 Braves/Astros NLDS game.mwm said:
I want the jays to force a game 3 and then play into extras.
