At this point Nalor is the underrated superstar.

Jose Ramirez what a player

One of the most underrated stars in the entire league.

Is he though? Seems like everyone says that about him. He's getting recognization from league. He's regularly near the top of MVP votes.

Don't love Brooks back out again. He doesn't always excel there.

I eagerly await the complaints about how this isn't like the regular season, how this has destroyed pitching staffs and how we should be using the Manfred Man in the playoffs.

If Cleveland can win, this isn't a bad thing. Everyone gets work. They save their #3 for game 1 of the DS.

True, but I still think it doesn't rise to the level of the actual value he provides. Especially signing a hometown discount extension to help them build around him instead of going full Correa.

For the record, I love the way they do it. Manfred man in regular season is perfect and makes regular season EI games more interesting and keeps a random Wed night game from going into the 14th 0-0.

For the playoffs, I'll take a game like this any day.

Andres Gimmenez has achieved the Platinum Sombrero (0 for 5 with 5 strikeouts today) for the Indians.

13 innings in the books. 7 singles, 8 walks so far.

And 35K, a golden and platinum sombrero.

That contract is huge for Cleveland. Such a great deal
For them.

Great defensive play to not just wait on Franco to run into the FC. Not just great. Gutsy.

Eff that. If you can't manager your pen for a game like this every once in a while, you don't deserve to do well in the postseason.

The Phillies and the Astros had four extra inning games in '80 NLCS and somehow the Phillies were able to do just fine in the World Series over the Royals

The last two games of 1986 NLCS were 12 and 16 innings each, damn Mets breaking my heart.. That same postseason the BoSox lost back to back 11 inning games and were able to bounce back and win the ALCS over the Angels in 7 games. Neither team seemed the worse for wear and went on to play a hell of a World Series.

I could live with the Manfred man in the regular season if they played a couple of the extra innings the old fashion way then go ahead put the runner on second.

You give some really good examples jkag, but they're all from the old days where starting pitchers would actually pitch 7 innings in a game or 200 innings in a season. And superstar pitchers didn't complain about fatigue when playoffs started.

I didn't know that Casey Candaele was the Blue Jays bench coach. Damn now I'm definitely pulling for the Jays this series. "Mighty Mite" was one of my favorite Astros players in the early '90s. He was an average MLBer at best but he played the Game with the joy of a kid that quickly endeared him to me and many Houston area baseball fans.

Don't really have a big preference who wins. Just that it goes 3. Extras in 2 and 3 would be gravy

The longer the better. Also none of this low scoring stuff, lots of runs as well as lots of extra innings. You know something like the '05 Braves/Astros NLDS game.
