Mancini will DH when Yordan is in LF.Lonestar_Ag09 said:My Roster PredictionFarmer1906 said:You're right, I read that wrong.Lonestar_Ag09 said:I didn't say G2 starter....I said whoever you used in relief.Farmer1906 said:We have 5 very good to elite arms in Neris, Abreu, Stanek, Montero, & Pressly. Unless a starter falls flat on their face, you're not going to need Garcia & Uriquidy. I doubt both will even make the roster. There is no reason to bring back the game 2 starter on super short rest for game 4.Lonestar_Ag09 said:I dont disagree but we have the pitching so I dont see why not use it.Farmer1906 said:Big Al 1992 said:
So 5 game series what do we want the rotation to look like
Gm 1 - JV
Gm 2 - LMJ (better at home)
Gm 3 - Framber (better in the road)
Gm 4 - Garcia/Urquidy
Gm 5 - let's hope it doesn't come to this but JV
Game 1 JV
Game 2 Framber (I think this is what they'll do incase he's needed for game 5)
Game 3 LMJ
Game 4 JV (normal rest)
Game 5 Framber (4 day rest with Javier in reserve)
1: JV
2: McC (Relief: Brown/Garcia/Urquidy)
3: Framber (Relief: Next best that didnt pitch the day before)
4: JV (Next man Up and possible G2 reliever if necessary)
5: Javier (McC in relief if needed)
I don't want those 4 relievers in every game therefore I use guys who have been SP throughout the year as the first arm out of the pen, unless the starter goes 7 or 8
And I can almost guarantee you we will carry 13 arms
I listed 5. And if you used them every game that's 4 IP a game for the starter. They're obviously going to go longer than that. You'd be using 2-4 a game. With the off days between games 1 and 2 / 2 and 3, you're going to need to go 12 or 13 deep regardless if what is carried on the roster.
Do you trust Garcia or Urquidy over Maton? Abreu? Stanek? Brown? I think those are your main candidates for 6th or 7th inning.
Pitchers
1. JV -SP
2. Framber -SP
3. McC -SP
4. Javier -SP
5. Garcia -Long Relief
6. Urquidy -Middle Relief (6-7th inning)
7. Brown -Middle Relief
8. Abreau -Middle Relief
9. Maton -Need an arm quick only
10. Neris -Set Up
11. Stanek -Set Up
12. Montero -SetUp, Closer if necessary
13. Pressley -Closer
Fielders:
1. Bregman (every 3B inning)
2. Pena (Every SS)
3. Altuve (Every 2B)
4. Yuli (Most every 1B)
5. Alvarez (LF/DH)
6. Chaz (CF/Late Defensive replacement in LF)
7. Ted (Every RF)
8. Mancini (Late PH for Yuli)
9. Diaz (Late PH for anyone)
10. Maldonado (Start every game at C)
11. Vasquez (Late sub for Maldy for a PH or after PR)
12. Dubon (Left-Out)
13. Meyers (Some CF, Late Def replacement, PR)
Diaz should get time in LF when Yordan is DH
