Lance McCullers Jr: "I’m confident in myself and I feel like as long as I can come out of my rehab healthy, I knew I was going to throw the ball well. Seems like a lot of other people are surprised."

The Angels officially are now tied with the Tigers for the longest playoff drought (8 years) since the Phillies just clinched for their first playoffs since 2011.

Wish I had known that term in the 90s. Could have told my parents that any semester now my GPA would have an upward regression.Ag_07 said:

I would have to agree. But we're running out of time to see it.Ag_07 said:

So 5 game series what do we want the rotation to look like
Gm 1 - JV
Gm 2 - Framber (He's a stud. Road home WGAS...Give him the ball as early as possible)
Gm 3 - LMJ
Gm 4 - Javier
Gm 5 - JV again

I thought it was funny that Blum mentioned if the Mariners make the playoffs and play the WC series in Toronto and lose they will not even have a playoff home game.
After the long wait for that fan base to finally make it but not have a home game is comical.

I dont disagree but we have the pitching so I dont see why not use it.Farmer1906 said:Big Al 1992 said:

Game 1 JV
Game 2 Framber (I think this is what they'll do incase he's needed for game 5)
Game 3 LMJ
Game 4 JV (normal rest)
Game 5 Framber (4 day rest with Javier in reserve)
The Astros’ player development department has named RHP Hunter Brown as the 2022 team’s Minor League Pitcher of the Year, and C Yainer Diaz as the 2022 Minor League Player of the Year.

We have 5 very good to elite arms in Neris, Abreu, Stanek, Montero, & Pressly. Unless a starter falls flat on their face, you're not going to need Garcia & Uriquidy. I doubt both will even make the roster. There is no reason to bring back the game 2 starter on super short rest for game 4.Lonestar_Ag09 said:I dont disagree but we have the pitching so I dont see why not use it.Farmer1906 said:Big Al 1992 said:

3: Framber (Relief: Next best that didnt pitch the day before)
4: JV (Next man Up and possible G2 reliever if necessary)
5: Javier (McC in relief if needed)
I didn't say G2 starter....I said whoever you used in relief.Farmer1906 said:We have 5 very good to elite arms in Neris, Abreu, Stanek, Montero, & Pressly. I don't want those 4 relievers in every game therefore I use guys who have been SP throughout the year as the first arm out of the pen, unless the starter goes 7 or 8
And I can almost guarantee you we will carry 13 arms

I listed 5. And if you used them every game that's 4 IP a game for the starter. They're obviously going to go longer than that. You'd be using 2-4 a game. With the off days between games 1 and 2 / 2 and 3, you're going to need to go 12 or 13 deep regardless if what is carried on the roster.
Do you trust Garcia or Urquidy over Maton? Abreu? Stanek? Brown? I think those are your main candidates for 6th or 7th inning.
Appreciate you posting those, because I don't think much of them and don't understand them. But, what makes up the formula for WAR - who is making the determination of what all the averages are and adjustments and such?Farmer1906 said:
