We need another bat. If this is what it looks like when a couple guys go down then we are walking a fine line if an injury pops up later this season

Yeah it's a bad series loss but one of those games we trotted out a AAA lineup after landing at 5 am the day of.
Last week or so guys have looked beat down and sloppy. Few off days to relax and regroup and they'll be fine.
We don't a lot of work at the deadline. OF bat at the top of the list given Brantley's slow progress.

It's not guys taking the series off. It's missing two of its best hitters and this lineup in general just not hitting singles. They hit for power but are not a singles hitting team. No power means no runs. It's been that way all year.
Take out Yordan and you lose your best hitter for average and power by a large margin. Take out Brantley and you lose your second best hitter.

A perfect bat for this team would be Benintendi. He's just a hitter. But the vax deal makes him absolutely a dead man walking.
Our offense looks tired because Brantley and Alvarez aren't in the lineup. Stros will be fine once we get them back. If anyone were to ask me at the start of the season if I'd be happy with a nine game lead at the AS break, I would absolutely say hell yeah.

What should the priority be for the Stros at the trade deadline?
Go after a versatile 1st baseman? Get a lefty reliever? Get another reliable starter just in case?

I ain't saying this guy's wrong, and I hope he's right. But Dabo said Deshaun would win the Texans a ring when they drafted him, and, well…
I just mean in the way his swing is extremely hard and he lets the bat linger while watching it, not that he represents that kind of player.
Though he showboats way more than Alvarez. He kinda reminds me of a lefty Bregman (well, when Bregman used to be exciting to watch with all that swagger)
