Sometimes I feel bad for Trout.

Bob is a Mets fan, right? Makes sense he would remember Jones, who was an All Star for the Miracle Mets and played there for a decade. Rickey Henderson is, well, the greatest.

Chas is basically a nobody. I'm sure there have been all kinds of 4th OF or utility player who bat right and throw left that no one remembers.

I'm glad we didn't have to deal with anything like this

Keep in mind the wild card series are only played in one location. There is no home and home shifts

But then you look at his contract and you stop feeling bad for him. Getting paid all that money to usually only play 1/2-2/3rds of a season

its impossible for a pitcher to recover from 1 bad call to the lead off batter. end of the world for sure.

As a pitcher, if that's enough to run you mentally, maybe you should consider a different line of work

I don't

He had a choice, knew exactly what he signing up for, and did it anyways.

He can wipe his tears away with all that cash he's got.

Meh. It's barely half of what it could be. He's got a ways to go.

Yordan is becoming one of those guys that dusty wouldn't walk in the 9th inning and then proceed to hit a walkoff

1,000% agree. He could have signed a lot of other places that would have paid him a whole lot of money and would have had better chances of winning, but he chose an organization with a track record of bad contracts.

So TED gunna be the first Astro since Beltran in '04, Bagwell in '99 if you want full season as an Astro, to have a 30-30 season?

On pace for 33 HRs and 31 SBs.

Lol, get beat 9-1 and blame one pitch in the first batter's walk.

And we scored all 4 of those first inning runs with just 1 out.

Bro, you through 74 pitches and gave up 6 runs.

Probably not.

I forget how it works, does the manager get to finish out the roster? That is probably his only shot. And even then Dusty probably won't put him in because 6 hole hitters aren't all stars or some twisted logic.

Starters voted on by fans, then there is maybe a player vote for 1 addition, then manager fills out the rest. I think

The fact our Manager is the All Star Manager there is no reason that we shouldn't have multiple All Stars:

Yordan
Tucker
Altuve
Personally I believe Pena should also be named

JV
Framber

Everyone focused on the Yankees, while quietly we have moved to the 2nd best overall record in the league.

Tucker is such an odd player in regards to recognition.

All the numbers and his performance screams elite but for some odd reason most don't realize it.

Hell sometimes I don't realize how good he is without a reminder. He just quietly puts out elite production yet if you asked 100 MLB fans to name the top OFers in the league he'd be left off most lists.

Dusty should name a lot of Yankees then make them play the whole game. NO BREAKS!

I mean I will at least work through an Astros game. Those cWS games however. I was completely ineffective at that time.

As of today, we're 8 back of the Yankees for best AL record (7 back in the loss column). They've played some great ball but I think we have a decent chance to overtake them for home field.

Ultimately, Boston/Toronto/Tampa will put a dent in the Yankees' current win trajectory. They've got 32 games remaining against those three teams.

Honestly, I wouldn't be that shocked if we're only ~4-5 games back heading into the break. They've got 7 games against Boston coming up. The Red Sox have quietly played some really good ball since June 1.

That would make the Yankees double-header coming out of the break very interesting, because all of a sudden we could get their lead down to ~2. Then we add LMJ back to the rotation, make a deal and let's go.

In the last 10 days Alex Bregman is 14-34 (.412), has 3 HR, 8 RBI and pushed his OPS to .772. It's nice to have him getting back at it.

Also, since Matijevic was called up on June 15, Yuli in 11 games (1 as a sub) is hitting
11-39 (.282), has 3 HR - doubling his season total, and 6 RBI.
