By chance do you have a better option in mind? I will fully admit I am a Bregman homer... he is mine and my sons favorite player, son wears #2 for a reason and the other coaches on his team refer to him as "baby Bregs" but I am fully open to hearing your replacement ideas.

Internally Immanuel Valdez is probably our best bet. He is has been progressing really well and tearing the cover off the ball in AA. But you could also look externally. Wouldn't mind a guy like La Stella.

That's a name I've never heard of, but from reading about him sounds like most haven't heard of him, being a very late bloomer in terms of production. Not a great sign to say the best apparent internal replacement is a guy whos ceiling projection is a platoon player.

Seems like with Pena's production thus far and apparent sticking power we may look to some of the multiple SS options to possibly slide over

Perez (seems like a AAA/AAAA guy)
Whitcomb ( High K rate)
Nova (heard about that dude forever but hasnt done much and is sitting on the 40 man)

I think you have to give up Lee to get Contreras. I'm fine with that because I simply don't think Lee will ever be impactful. He could be a middle of the pack type starter and that's nice when cheap but that's also replaceable. Contreras could be the difference maker in a WS run.
