As part of the revised MLB schedule, the Astros will play the Yankees at Minute Maid Park on June 30 and again in a doubleheader on July 21. The Phillies come to Houston to end the regular-season with a three-game series from Oct. 3-5.

yes, I'm just not telling anyone where.

Greinke was a trip and not worth the $35 million he was getting.
I'll never forget his game 7 performance against the Nats. I still can't believe AJ took him out and left Cole in the bullpen.

He helped us get to two WS appearances and would have been a big reason for a 2nd championship if only he was used effectively in G7
Worth every penny

His 3.75 ERA while in Houston doesn't scream a $35 million per year starter. That's Cole/JV/Scherzer money. Greinke was solid. Not worth that amount of money.

The Royals traded Mike Minor ($8M) earlier in the day and freed up that money to pay Greinke $13M. For the Royals, they're only out $5M and probably get a better arm than Minor was going to give them.
Also, Greinke was drafted 6th by the Royals in 2002 and won the Cy-Young for them in 2009. He'll put butts in the seats every 5-days, he needs one more steal to get 10 (for a pitcher) and I can totally see them letting him pinch hit in a blow out at some point this season.
Were they in the top 5? We just emptied out some with the call-ups of Yordan and Tucker.Bonnettecj1 said:
Giving up 3 of our top 5 prospects was a pretty big price.
I'm not at all arguing that it was a bad trade because it wasn't. I would still do it, knowing what I know now. My point was that he wasn't worth that salary and I'm glad the Astros didn't overpay to get him back.
Breaking: Kris Bryant to Rockies

So they trade away Arenado, they won't pay Trevor Story, but they'll drop that kind of money on Bryant. Like I said yesterday, their ownership / management is the most bipolar group of people I've ever heard of in baseball.
Been looking for a Greinke jersey since last year without any luck for some reason.Bonnettecj1 said:

I am able to confirm that the O’s offer still stands.

My biggest takeaway is…. Are we sleeping on his traps? He's built like 1998 MLB.
