I think his point is that for the CS a wild-card team can't get home field but in the WS they throw that rule out the window and it's best season record.

Here's a rumor without the doom and gloom. Granato on 97.5 said this morning (take source with grain of salt) his buddy was in Diamond Club when he saw Crane. Tried to give Crane a hundred bill and said "this is for the Carlos fund". Crane replied "thanks but we don't need it - we got this!"

No...I'm saying it's jacked up to have a rule that says the wild card can't have home field in the LCS regardless of record but can in the World Series. Be consistent.

My opinion of Joe Buck changed after watching him on "Brockmire". If you haven't watched Brockmire, you're missing out. Joe Buck is hilarious in his guest appearances on the show, playing a caricature of himself. At the very minimum, the guy doesn't take himself too seriously.

I still prefer the local broadcast team, but Buck/Smoltz/Verducci could decent.

So a few of us at lunch today at Twin Peaks I10 west, we were thinking game time to be between 4-6 pm start time.. with the West Coast game starting at 7 or 8 pm out west ? We got some seats behind home plate 300s for Saturday game

I read it. Good stuff. My take away is that Correa isn't necessarily looking for the largest contract, but that he wants a big one that makes sense. He says taxes play a lot into the decision. He mentioned a $270 number in Houston compared to 350 in L.A., saying the Houston contract is better.

Good Golly... are they really taxed THAT much in Commifornia? That's insane.

I would say perhaps some of that calculation takes cost of living differences into effect. But even if that were the case... for someone as rich as a highly paid baseball player at some point what most of us think of as normal "cost of living" differences become negligible, outside of perhaps super high end real estate.
