Went to high school with Clint, Mama Stoerner is a riot! And y'all are right, she's probably had a few Coors.
LaRussa was out of the dugout for so long I got a silver alert on my iPhone.

Good question. He's was such a big-time prospect coming up, but it never quite clicked for him until this year. Spotrac shows his market value at 4/96 M. I think that is a little rich. I'd guess something similar to what Lance signed.Deluxe said:
What do you think Rodon goes for in free agency this winter?
What could have been for Chicago? They all but had AJ signed then went in another direction.Mathguy64 said:
La Russa looked and sounded old yesterday. Old and slow. Good thing he gets the rest of the off season to recover. He is now yesterday's news.
On to Bahstin.
We all know why Crane hired Dusty. I dont understand at all why Chicago hired La Russa.Farmer1906 said:What could have been for Chicago? They all but had AJ signed then went in another direction.Mathguy64 said:

Good morning to everyone except Chicago, #ChangeTheGame fans & @RTepera. That was quite the can of worms you opened, wasn’t it? Enjoy your offseason and the paint chips you’ll continue eating; @TeamCJCorrea & and @astros will continue their unfinished business. #ForTheH pic.twitter.com/OGk7b8qz7T

1. They kept going on and on about the Astros still stealing signs and how once you e tasted the sweet nectar of cheating to win you never go back. And how we're still stealing signs but just doing it to the most possible within the rules etc etc

What a temper tantrum that was.
That whole charade was nothing but Tony being butthurt he's losing to Dusty. Though it was great that Dusty never even got up out of his chair.
If he was so pissed at getting warned they should've reminded him that they hit Altuve first. If Altuve had not been hit there wouldn't have been a warning for Abreu.
Both of which were unintentional so WTF are you bltching about?

Yea. Pre-2021 LMJ is probably a decent comp. Obviously he has nasty stuff and high upside potential. Just hasn't shown the ability to stay on the mound.Farmer1906 said:Good question. No.
I like where your head is at. With the tax goes down and the market is flooded with some serious talent, we may be able to find some deals.Deluxe said:Yea. Pre-2021 LMJ is probably a decent comp. Was wondering if maybe we could snag him for a 2/$30mm type of deal. Or maybe he gets to the end of the free agency period with no bites on a long term deal and is willing to do a 1 year prove-it deal. We could manage his innings, give him access to our baseball nerds and tone down his chest pounds a little. Could be a win-win.

So, can forearm tightness/pain come from anything other than ligament damage? A pitcher doesn't typically pull a forearm muscle, do they? I know we'll find out more today but I can't stop thinking about this. Having Chris Paul injury flashbacks.
Quote:
Garcia's bounceback from the hellish Game 3 was most notable. The righthander, inserted in the middle of an at-bat, was proof of Baker's bullpen mismanagement Sunday. He made Baker look smart Tuesday by dispatching the top of the White Sox lineup on 21 pitches, including an 11-pitch battle against Tim Anderson.
Astros pitching coach Brent Strom said he and catcher Martn Maldonado crafted a strategy for Garcia to avoid another disastrous outing.
"He really fits well, especially in the top of the order against those three righthanders, and he pitched exceptionally well," Strom said. "Before he warmed up, we called down there and said, 'Follow the plan,' and 'Maldy has a plan.'"
Maton retired the side in order in the sixth inning on 12 pitches with one strikeout. The former Cleveland Indians pitcher has yet to allow a run in three postseason appearances with the Astrostotaling three innings.
"A lot of credit goes to our GM and our analytics people that recognized that Maton is a righthanded pitcher who has a uniqueness to get lefthanded hitters out, and I think that plays well for us," Strom said. "Whereas Yimi is very solid against righthanders, Maton, he kind of takes the place of Will Harris, when I had Will Harris and (Chris) Devenski in the previous years. It's like having a really solid lefthanded reliever even though they throw from the right side."
He also said he didn't think it was his ligament. We probably won't know anything until media day (I think that'd be Thursday).Farmer1906 said:Lance said it felt different than last time.AggieLit said:

What's the recovery time for those?aggiederelict said:
Yes it can be. Could be common flexor tendons or muscle strain but the ligament is a real concern for pitchers.
I'm no doctor, but I'm gonna guess it's longer than the remainder of the postseason.AggieLit said:What's the recovery time for those?aggiederelict said:
