While I understand what you mean…your vacation days are yours to use. Don't put them to waste because the district isn't doing their job to find subs. COVID dang sure isn't your fault and anything to consider.

When I taught I was the same way, I perpetually pushed them off and stockpiled my days…then a made a career change and lost nearly 40 days.
My wife's last day of teaching/coaching is on Thursday. Got a great opportunity elsewhere. She's leaving some ridiculous number of days on the table when she leaves. As a coach, she basically wasn't allowed to take days off during the season and was also always fed the same "we have no subs" line any other time she asked off. So glad she is out of the field.

Should be a fun wild card tonight. Yankees have better talent, but game is at Fenway so could see either team winning. Red Sox do hold the season series as well.
