The Astros used eight pitchers tonight. Seven of them put up zeroes. Maton gave up all five runs.

This one is on Dusty.

TK and Blummer talking about Scott Kazmir pitching for the Giants tonight and still touching 94-95. SF has the Midas touch this year.

Was Blummer insinuating he is as pissed at Dusty as everyone else is by his closing remarks? I watch via MLBtv, so I don't get the post game.
Indeed. Got to witness the likes of Vince Young, Jamaal Charles, Rashard Lewis, Kazmir, and Josh Beckett on the prep level. Charles was even better at track than he was at football.Beat40 said:Professional talent is a thing to behold when there is nothing to challenge it.Fat Bib Fortuna said:When I was a prep sportswriter I saw Kazmir pitch a playoff game for Cy-Falls where the other team didn't actually touch a pitch with a bat until the 5th inning. 12 straight strikeouts to start the game; nobody made contact.Beat40 said:

Blum: Easily one of the more interesting games I have ever seen in my life. I am grateful the Astros ended up winning and the magic number is three... that is all I got.AggiEE said:Mr President Elect said:

Sad Angels fans. They yell "Cheater" all game, watch their team lose in 12 and see Ohtani walk 4 times then strikeout to end the game.
Dusty Baker on why he pulled Yordan Alvarez: “I was trying to preserve him and he was sore. I just couldn’t take a chance."
— Chandler Rome (@Chandler_Rome) September 23, 2021
"He was just sore. I can't elaborate or go any further. That's all I can tell you," Baker said when asked if it is Alvarez's knees.
— Chandler Rome (@Chandler_Rome) September 23, 2021
Baker said the decision to take him out was a late one and based on how Baker watched him run to the outfield.
Dusty Baker said Yordan Alvarez won't play tomorrow.

I'm here to eat crow. Dusty ruined my night and I went to bed knowing they lost with the bases loaded........or I was the problem and took all the bad juju with me.Fat Bib Fortuna said:wangus12 said:

I imagine it probably had more to do with the fact that it was nearly 1am in houston by the time the game was over and he was just ready to go home. Lets be honest, for that game to get to the 12th, there were some real eggs laid in the 10th and 11th by the offense.Mr President Elect said:Blum: Easily one of the more interesting games I have ever seen in my life. probably just reading too much into "that is all I got" on my part.
