Does it really matter? The Astros will have to beat them at some point anyway.
I love Texas Aggie sports, but I love Texas A&M more.
I was worried the bat boy was going to have a coronary out there. Holy morbid obesityWilly Wonka said:EastCoastAgNc said:.@astros' Jeremy Peña goes all out in this 3-HR game for @SL_Skeeters:

Surely he's not who we're pinning our hopes on next year at SS, right?

Game 1: Lance
Game 2: Framber
Game 3: Urquidy
Game 4: Greinke
I'd have Luis Garcia ready for long relief at any point in games 3-4
Then I'd reevaluate the Greinke/Garcia game 4 in the ALCS based on how it went in the ALDS

Whether it was warranted or not, the August freak out is an annual thing on this thread. Happens from the trade deadline through early September every season. Funny, 2017 was the worst one.

I had it way worse this year than ever

Yeah it does
I think it'd be WAY easier to beat Toronto in a 7 game series.
The don't have the pitching for a 7 gamer against our offense.
I actually kind of hate Bagwell when he's doing commentary. He's okay when Blum is also there and can keep him on track and prompt him to tell some stories or give some insight, but when it's just him and Kalas those broadcasts are brutal.Big Al 1992 said:
If Dierker could go from the booth to manager, I'd love to see Bagwell as skipper next year. Love his insights when he's doing commentary.

Wasn't Bagwell a hitting coach for a while? I know he's referenced working with Hunter Pence. I agree with others that we need someone who is analytics smart but also baseball smart. I'm thinking....AJ Hinch.Farmer1906 said:
I know Bagwell seems to have really opened up to more data-driven baseball in recent years, but I want someone who has been entrenched in it for a while not. Maybe as a bench coach or something along those lines would make more sense.
I make sure my 10yo son is around to watch the games that he calls with Kalas because it's an expert analysis of the game. I've heard him discuss the complexity of a first baseman's footwork, especially during a shift, analyze hitter's swings, plate discipline, and strategy for at-bats, and then you also get all the great stories. It's must watch TV IMO.bobinator said:
Yeah, my second post on here in months and it's probably entering hot take territory, I just think the broadcasts when it's just him and Kalas are bad. Every so often he drops some kind of insight or tells a story that almost makes up for it, but the majority of the time he's just saying baseball cliches and his voice isn't exactly the most exciting in the world.

Been a minute since I've posted here, but Odorizzi's only role in the postseason is to eat innings in games we're already probably going to lose right?

He was my pick for 2020 interim manager
My only complaint is just that his voice is so deep he is hard to hear at times, I wish they would adjust that on the back side to make it easier to hear compared to TK. But like others have said he has gotten way better this year and his view and analysis is fantatic.bobinator said:
Hey if you like it you like it, maybe I'm in a tiny minority, but I just think he's boring the vast majority of the time.
because that would be uncomfortable.Farmer1906 said:

The Blue Jays are not happy.

Last night in the 6th, Kevin Kiermaier slid into home plate and grabbed a card (video here). That card, I'm told, was from Alejandro Kirk's wrist band that fell out on the tag.
On the card: the Blue Jays' game plan on pitching to Rays' hitters. pic.twitter.com/wjjuYd3Bhk
Why would you NOT be mad? The other team now literally has your entire playbook on how that specific pitcher is planning on pitching their hitters…bobinator said:
Seems like a stupid thing to be mad about.

When they refused to give it back after the bat boy came over and asked for it... that's when it stops being just an "innocent" mistake.bobinator said:
I mean it's not like he stole it, it was literally laying on the ground.
