I would go LMJ, Framber, and then... I am not sure. Probably LuACE then Greinke. I have Urquidy ready to go if any starter falters and we need a long middle relief appearance.

I don't feel good at all about Grienke but it's hard to leave him out. I can't help but think about Urquidy's start in the 2019 WS. Ice in his veins.

But Urquidy coming out of the bullpen certainly makes sense.

If Dierker could go from the booth to manager, I'd love to see Bagwell as skipper next year. Love his insights when he's doing commentary.

Even though it was condensed, last year's regular season was the worst on this thread. We had virtually no hope of making it far

I know Bagwell seems to have really opened up to more data-driven baseball in recent years, but I want someone who has been entrenched in it for a while not. Maybe as a bench coach or something along those lines would make more sense.

By that same measure, you could also say it might be easier to hold Toronto's offense down for a shorter series. Plus, you could win without pitching ZG or Odorizzi.

Not trying to sell you on that, just not sure in my head whether it matters. I go back and forth.

Been a minute since I've posted here, but Odorizzi's only role in the postseason is to eat innings in games we're already probably going to lose right?

I actually kind of hate Bagwell when he's doing commentary. He's okay when Blum is also there and can keep him on track and prompt him to tell some stories or give some insight, but when it's just him and Kalas those broadcasts are brutal.

Yeah, my second post on here in months and it's probably entering hot take territory, I just think the broadcasts when it's just him and Kalas are bad. Every so often he drops some kind of insight or tells a story that almost makes up for it, but the majority of the time he's just saying baseball cliches and his voice isn't exactly the most exciting in the world.

Wasn't Bagwell a hitting coach for a while? I know he's referenced working with Hunter Pence. I agree with others that we need someone who is analytics smart but also baseball smart. I'm thinking....AJ Hinch.

I would have to imagine, yes. But in reality, we might have a few others that can do the same ahead of him. Javier is the first guy out of the pen in that situation for me. Garcia/ Urquidy (whichever doesn't make the 4-man rotation) is the first long reliever out of the pen in a tight game.

My only complaint is just that his voice is so deep he is hard to hear at times, I wish they would adjust that on the back side to make it easier to hear compared to TK. But like others have said he has gotten way better this year and his view and analysis is fantatic.

I was talking to my dad about this the other day and our thoughts were:
1. If he thought that much about all those things while hitting how was he ever successful, just shows how good you have to be.
2. Blummer never mentions that type stuff so did he never think about it and that's why he wasn't the level hitter Bags was

3. He has been unfortunate of calling a few bad games, and long games...thats going to make the game drag more than who is on the call.
