He's going to have so many chances to do things hitting in this lineup. If he can just get a hit every once in a while in the multitude of RBI ops he's going to get, steal some bases and play good CF that's all we need from him.

I'd rather have catchers who are defensively sound and are smart about calling games / handling the staff than a decent hitter who can't throw out runners and is mediocre at game planning.

and by the way...it is ok to enjoy a catcher like Maldonado work it behind the plate, and also hate that, in large part, he brings nothing as a batter.
