I missed this post yesterday. I think with internet and FuboTV it'll be about $175-180ish. Stupid Suddenlink keeps raising internet prices. Fubo and YTTV are basically the same price, maybe a few bucks difference.

By the way, I kept DirecTV specifically for the Astros but I did call and threaten to cut the cord and they immediately knocked $60/month off my bill for a full year. You'll have to wait a while on hold for their "retention specialist."

Last night's dinner conversation at the house of Fortuna

Mrs. Fortuna: "Girls, do you know what's special about tomorrow?"

Girls: "No."

Mrs. F: "Honey, tell them what tomorrow is."

Bib: "It's opening day of baseball for the Astros."

Girls: "Cool!"

Mrs F (exasperated): "No, I meant tomorrow is Maundy Thursday."

Girls: "What is that?"

Mrs F: It's the day of the Last Supper where Jesus washed his disciples feet before Judas betrayed him.
Daughter #1: "What does betray mean?"

Mrs. F: "Judas told Jesus he was on his side but then he had him arrested. He broke his promise to Jesus for some silver coins."

Bib: "The Astros were betrayed by a guy named Mike Fiers."

Daughter #2: "What did Mike Fiers do?"

Bib: "He was a pitcher for the Astros and then he turned into a dirty snitch."

Daughter #1: "What's a snitch?"

Bib: "Someone who goes behind your back to get you in trouble on purpose."

Mrs. F (doubly exasperated): We're talking about Jesus and Judas, you know Easter it this Sunday, girls."

Daughter #2: "Are we getting candy?"

Mrs. F (triple exasperated): "That's not what Easter is about."

Daughter #1: "What happened to Judas?"

Mrs. F: "When he saw what happened to Jesus he tried to give the money back and then he felt so guilty that he hung himself."

Daughter #2: "Did Mike Fiers feel bad about being a snitch?"

Bib: "No, he didn't. In fact whenever his team plays the Astros he fakes like he's hurt so he doesn't have to pitch against them.

Daughter #1 (deep in thought): "Snitch and pitch rhyme. They should call him the Snitcher Pitcher."

Bib: "That is the best idea I've ever heard."

Mrs. F (defeated): "I don't know why I even bother with you."

If you are a T-Mobile customer, you can get $10 off YTTV per month. You can also get free MLB.tv. Get a smartDNS service or VPN for $5/$10 mo. You can have Astros and tv for about $60/mo and other games.

This is a good method. I am able to keep my bill around $120/month through XFINITY by only having TV/Internet and no equipment rental fees. I supply my own Netgear Modem/Router and the other TV's in the house use the XFINITY stream beta app. Last renewal period they kept me at the same price.

I'm not. In years past I was doing the DNS workaround with MLBtv but last year I really liked FuboTV compared to the DNS setup.
