I had an opportunity to go to Alabama out of high school on a theatre scholarship in 2012. Alabama would have won the national title my freshman and senior year.

Have to wonder how much easier my life as a sports fan would be if I made that choice

It takes special fortitude to be a Aggie football fan. Ive been watching them for 40 years and we haven't sniffed a natty in that time and I suspect I could watch another 40 with the same results. Ive been burned and disappointed too many times and have learned my lesson.

I think I am around a 6. My excitement is down mainly because of our BP and the way the offense has performed on the road all year.

Pretty confident in the starters actually. Hoping our offense plays with some confidence today. Really need George, Altuve, and Bregman to do their thing.


I'm at a 5-6 going in. Astros playoff baseball in the afternoon brings back great memories of teachers wheeling the TV on a cart in to class to watch in 80-81 and then skipping school to see those 86 Mets games.
We get past the Twins, excitement will ratchet up to 7-8.


Go ahead and mark my excitement as a 9! Astros baseball in October! Can't wait for tomorrow! Let's Go!!

Bold prediction...Offense wakes up and we get back to mashing.

Seeing that video knowing the players can relax and have their family with them makes me think they loosen up and awaken.

They haven't been able to do that all season when on the road. That's great to see

I'm surprised too but I like it. Glad we're thinking outside the box a little. If we have more confidence in LMJ/Framber against the A's than Greinke, then they should pitch first. Career/pedigree shouldn't be a factor in the decision.

Same here. For the first time since 2015 the idea that "anything can happen" is an encouragement, rather than a threat. 2020 has been weird. If the Astros lose, that's just 2020. But if they win, it's a big middle finger to everyone. House money.

You have complained about LMJ'd mental fortitude, but you would rather him the possibility of pitching an elimination game, which would be higher pressure than game 1, without throwing a live pitch in very close to two weeks?

When are you going to pitch him if he's 4 on your list?
