I think analytics and new school philosophy are the reasons why most of the old school options like Garner, Dusty Baker, Showalter, etc aren't realistic candidates.agproducer said:

Besides, Garner seems to be of the mentality of the players. He's come out publicly and called Mike Fiers a "rat."
IMO the long term manager decision is one the GM should make. The GM can be held more accountable if he gets to pick his field manager. Still think Espada will be named interim manager soon, unless we move quick on the GM front.
