Got in trouble with Mrs Bird. She's a huge, loyal, smart, non-whiny Rangers fan who loves her team. I get critical and she gets PISSED at me. She just said I ruined another game when it was 8-4 and she's in the bedroom watching now.

I know baseball. I had a 2 year career 1971-1972. ALWAYS made contact with the ball. NEVER struck out.

We beat 2 teams tonight.

We beat a very good team in the Astros and we beat the umpires. That guy behind home plate is probably the worst I've ever seen. His finger prints were all over the game, in a bad way. He would call low strikes on us that he just called balls for Astros hitters and to make things even worse, the Astros benefitted from all of his crappy calls.

Very gratifying to win this game when we had the deck stacked against us the whole time.
