Boston just put the go ahead run on to face our two hole hitter. That might show the lineup needs a change

lucky There. I think he was out. Just horrible offensive baseball late in this one
He was clearly safe

LOL Certainly not clearly. Doesn't matter anyway since they went full tard
Having said that... we did put up 6 Runs on David Price and Co.aggietony2010 said:
13 LOB in the final 5 innings. What a depressing way to not win a series. We need our bats back.

Y'all have some reallyyyyy high expectations for a team who was projected to win around 70 games
I agree about prospect development, but that isn't always seen in the statistics. Sure, I'd have liked to have seen more production out of that group. Adding in Santana, since he is under team control and Grape will be sad, if we don't, and Fairbanks.wbt5845 said:
Since I still believe the objective of this season is the development of our young talent, I try to look at every series through that prism. And it was a subpar 4 games for that bunch.
DeShields - Nothing until last night. Disappointing series.
Mazara - 1 for 5, 1 for 5, 1 for 3, - 3 RBIs. Not bad.
Odor - 0 for 3, 1 for 4 three times - 0 RBIs. OK, which is a great step forward for him.
Guzman - 1 for 5, 0 for 4, 0 for 0 - Not too good.
Jurado - Another really good start. 6 IP, 5 hits, 3 ER. Quality start.
Sampson - Not as good, but still decent. 5 IP, 7 hits, 6 ER. Too many HRs.
Oh look... another thread by Grape, attempting to trash Odor. If only we needed a Utility IF...Grapesoda2525 said:
Ok..... this is kind of funny.
179 .253 .328 .582 48wRC+ -0.6 fWAR - Odor
.203 .265 .364 .629 68wRC+ -0.3 fWAR - Profar
.305 .323 .384 .707 89wRC+ 0.5 fWAR - Alberto
Hanser Alberto used to be the teams head cheerleader / designated high five guy on the bench and he's out playing both Odor and Profar this year.
I heard (or possibly just hope) that it'll be more of a Johhny Allstaff deal than just Chavez and Smyly.DallasAg 94 said:
Looks like Jesse Chavez gets the GS. Guess he'll be the Opener, for Smyly to come in and do what he does.

Odor: 51 GS @ 2B; .981 Fld% - 4 Errors
Profar: 61 GS @ 2B; .965 Fld% - 9 Errors
Alberto: 26 GS @ 2B; .982 Fld% - 2 Errors
Alberto: 21 GS @ 3B; .958 Fld% - 3 Errors
Total: 47 GS - 5 Errors
I like Alberto, but what we see with guys like he, Danny Santana, Forsythe, etc... They are hit and miss and there are lots of them.
Albert went: Rangers > NY Yankees > Baltimore > SF Giants > Baltimore all in a 14 month period.
Either all 4 teams, include those teams that didn't claim him off waivers, missed something... or he isn't a full time 2B.
