The time to deal Mazara was last trade deadline when he was at peak value. We could've gotten a haul for him last summer.

After losing 4 straight games, the Rangers are now well poised to get a Top5 pick. A couple more loses, and they will be where they need to be.

Next comes the 2nd phase.

Rangers should sign Keuchel and Kimbrel to 1 yr deals. Agree to not allow both to have input in where they get traded. Best way to ensure they are on a title contender this season, is to get traded to it. That allows them to get GS in June and July to knock some of the rust off. The Rangers can pick up much of the salary for better prospects.

Phase 3: Trade existing players.
Mike Minor. He needs to go while his stock is riding high. One of the Top 3-4 SPs that will be available, and with Rodon headed for TJ with so many others... we should get a great haul, this season. Especially with another season of control getting paid peanuts.

Chris Martin (2.93 ERA) & Shawn Kelley (1.29 ERA)... ba bye.

Choo? .295, 4 HR, .391 OBP... let's eat some money and get some prospects.

I love this team, but watching Odor play baseball makes me miss Ian Kinsler, and Kinsler was my least favorite ranger when we were good.

I proud of Joey's progress and Pence has been a great addition, but that's about all this summer seems to have in store.

I hope we're active at the trade deadline and actually get some good prospects for once.

Tyler Phillips just got moved up to AA. Emanuel Clase moves there recently too. Clase is the one throwing 98-100 as a closer.
