Haven't forgotten. He was an absolute work horse in those games, but he didn't have his best stuff.

Depends on the game situation. Need to make this guy work so we can burn both him and the bullpen up. One pitch, one out at bats aren't going to do that.

They just said he is 4-6 after that out, when he hits the first pitch. I'll take that. Now only if he could lay of the slider 10 ft off the plate.

I guess my memory is just faulty. I remember him doing great against Tampa but seemingly without his best stuff. Guess I was wrong.

Cole and Maldy must have a game plan that's fastball heavy the first time through the order. Lots of fastballs, even on 2 strike counts.


Seems to be working though.
