The worst part is you knocked Scherzer out after 5 and still lost with Cole on the mound. That's as golden as it gets. Hopefully this will be a wake up call. The Nats came to play....

I'm still confident overall. It all had to go wrong for us and they had to throw everything they had ... and they barely got it.

3 innings in the early part of the game where we left two on a piece.

Left bases loaded

De-juiced ball taking away Springer's second home rum.

Catcher's interference cost us a run.

We hit into shifts, they hit away from shifts.

Worst Cole start in 6 months.

Going forward, we saw every bullpen arm they have that's worth anything, and we hammered Rainey and Hudson.

We got a sneak peak at Corbin's slider for game 4.


We're still good.

Where's Bergman's head? It feels like he's been going up looking to walk, and then, by the time he has an 0-2, 1-2 count, it's too late.

Yeah. Not really mentioning it much, but he took a dump in the 5th. Made no sense to throw hit table pitches when up 0-2 in the count.

Springer can't do that. This isn't a Sunday game in June. This is post season baseball and also behind on the scoreboard. Overall, very disappointing game. Cole lost faith in his heater but that caused him to start throwing off speed pitches and then it got worse. Bregman was awful. Correa same old blah. We looked hungover from champagne. Max didn't even have great command but we blew it.

I was prepared for the split but that's because I thought they'd win Game 1 and lose Game 2. Verlander's been a little shaky since the short rest start. They have to win tomorrow.

If their starters don't get them 7+ they're fckd. If there's an extra inning game the don't stand a chance.

Correa needs to get it going at the plate too. He's become very one true outcome oriented. Home runs or nothing.

WTF is wrong with Bregman, and what can be done about it? Since the ALDS, he's been horrible. He's spending too much time getting irritated over close pitches, he needs to swing away.

He saw two belt high fast balls in the last at bat alone.

I defended him in the ALCS. He had a bad outing tonight.

Hard to work with, yes. But he's also been watching too many pitches, and he's getting too worked up over close ones. He needs to forget about letting balls go by and start swinging at pitches he can hit

Wasn't able to post during the game and couldn't read the thread, so was probably already disappoitned, but our base running outside of Tucker's tag-up, sucked.

If Springer is legging it out instead of watching his pretty fly ball, he ends up at third and we're in the 10th inning right now.

He watched one right down that middle that he should have tied the game on. No excuse for not swinging at that second strike in the 9th. That's the pitch he's been waiting for all playoffs.

Bregman still thinks everyone is going to tip-toe around him and he can take 4 balls.... this is the post-season and he needs to realize dudes are going to make good pitches. Be aggressive if you have a good pitch and try to get on base... stop this BS he has going now
