Bregman saw good pitches tonight because Yuli is heating up.....
He did nothing with it.
Bregman saw no more than 2 good pitches tonight. Standing in stadium crowds now, but I'll fact check that later.

So that was the Cole-****ting-the-bed game I was worried about.

It looks to me like Bregman is going up there to draw a walk. Maybe he's just under the assumption he won't see good pitches, but even when he does swing the swings look more like he's just trying to protect the plate. He doesn't really look like he's trying to drive the ball.

I bet nobody has ever won the World Series after dropping Game 1 with Justin Verlander set to start game 2.

Is it true one of their pitchers tonight is their usual 3rd game starter? Forget which one.

So they blow all their pitchers game 1, pray Strausburg survives game 2 thru 7/8?
I like our chances for 7

Hard to work with, yes. But he's also been watching too many pitches, and he's getting too worked up over close ones. He needs to forget about letting balls go by and start swinging at pitches he can hitBregxit said:DVC2010 said:96ags said:

And I believe he had 7 balls that were called strikes. Hard to work with that.

Look at it this way, Cole pitches like that in game 7 against the Yankees and we likely don't advance.
That's two games in a row where he didn't have his good stuff.Bregxit said:

He watched one right down that middle that he should have tied the game on. No excuse for not swinging at that second strike in the 9th. That's the pitch he's been waiting for all playoffs.kb2001 said:Hard to work with, yes. But he's also been watching too many pitches, and he's getting too worked up over close ones.
