The Yankees had to have this game. This game was just like game 4 against the rays. The rays had to have that one too, and no breaks went our way at all. We just need some home cooking. I'm ready for a loud MMP tomorrow. If we jump on them early, the Yankees are done.

Verlander had a rough first inning, then went on to dominate the rest of the way. That saved the bullpen. The bats lost this game more than Verlander. 3 runs in 8 innings is not impossible to overcome.

Let's hope Hinch doesn't blow his wad on Cole without enough rest. If he does, and loses the series, it would be one of the most second guessed moves in a long, long time. He is capable of doing it.
